A Walk to Remember.....

Blog revisited!!!!!.. I hardly remember when was it that I posted my last article … And now I could remember my cousin words “ you barely get time to write once your on a work”.. And that has exactly worked with me .. But, somehow, today I managed to remove the shackles on my hand to write something.. I was wondering for a long time why is that am ain't writing anything though I had a passion for writing and even I had many a things happening around me in my beautiful life to pen down!!.. An inner voice came out saying that my busy schedule doesn't permit it..Busy schedule!!! guys don't mistake I was busy being Vetti many-a-times..loll.... Finally time has come and am here to write yeah...

A Walk to Remember.. This is not a walk with a group of friends on a street blocking the road nor its a walk a special person on a beach holding each other hands but certainly a memorable walk to me...Guess what, this is one of the most funniest and scariest walk I have ever had in my life and you can find out why as you read down the below paragraphs..

The below lines goes with “WE” as the pronoun rather than "I" in its sentences as the WALK is unforgettable to Sam (Colleague & a sweet friend of mine) and myself.

It was 2 AM in the clock on the beautiful morning of Tuesday and as part of my office system I booked the cab to return to our PG one hour before. We are supposed to get to the transport section by 2:00 and it got delayed by 15 mins (as usual hehe) and we reached near the cab only at 2:15 am as a result of which all the cabs left for the hour and we were asked to wait one more hour to take the next cab.. Annoyed by the response from the bhaiyas at the transport section we decided to walk back to PG, which is not so far, and hardly take 10-12 mins. But at the same time one other colleague insisted not to walk at that time of hour, which is not safe. Still, with the existing fat system in our body we dint listen to her and started our courageous walk.

Till the gates we were damn confident of reaching our place with ease but once we were out of gates, the fear factor slowly stepped out seeing the group of men on the unknown street who started to shout in their language which I interpreted to Sam “Cab venumanu ketkaranga, Sam”. There were hardly any light in the street and luminosity that was coming from the near by street decreased as the road prolonged. With heart beats pounding we stepped inside that road and once we were assured of complete darkness we started to run a bit with atleast 20 steps a min which would on a normal walk be less 8-10 of a minute.

The only word that I uttered through out the road was my favorite “GOD” name. Finally, we crossed dim street and came to the lane which now had street lights in it.. Again the second heartbeat throbbed in when we saw a Mahindra Scorpia car coming towards us from the other end of the road. Fortunately, we took the right to that and again our footsteps rate increased from 2/sec to 8/sec for the next two minutes till we hid ourselves behind the van that stood in the path. The car went straight slowing down itself in the right we turned, giving us a huge relief..

In the end we reached our PG narrow mud road, where we had one of our biggest smile in our lips of having achieved something great in our life.Though the distance between our office and PG is hardly 800 metres, the walk was as if we travelled more than 2 km in relatively shorter time. On reaching we determined to ourselves that we would/should not repeat this in future that too in an unknown/unsafe place.

Special thanks to Sam, because with out her I would not have attempted this daring walk and I hope neither she would have done it with out me. Few things in life are worth giving a shot and this experience is something, which I can’t forget in my lifetime. The joy with fear was an awesome feeling altogher….
